In December 2021, several months after opening its first studio space in April 2021. Radio 254 received a message via Instagram from a lady named Hebron about advertising on the radio station. It was during the December holidays that the message was sent so it was not until January of 2021 that we began conversations with Hebron about having a brand partnership and advertising on Radio 254.

After negotiations. The deal was finally finalized and Radio 254 got the chance to do four weeks of advertising for Black & White Whisky for the month of February 2021. Through this opportunity, we had the chance to work with Saracen Media who believed in us and gave us a chance to represent and market their brand.

After the successful completion of the one-month campaign in February for Black and White Whisky, Radio 254 was fortunate enough to market Black & White Whisky in November and December of 2021 where the two collaborated on an exclusive collaboration on the station’s Women Takeover Wednesday that’s airs every Wednesday from 7 pm to 10 pm where the station highlights different women taking over Kenya’s entertainment industry.

During the time that Radio 254 collaborated with Black and White Whisky, the two were able to interview and highlight Maandy, Ssaru, Muthoni Drummer Queen, MC Sharon, Brandy Maina, and more. Radio 254 would like to say a very special thank you to Saracen Media, East African Breweries (EABL), and Black & White Whisky for believing in us and allowing us to advertise and partner.

A special thanks to Valerie Cherono, Sylvie Karuga & and Sonia Pinto for executing the campaigns successfully. We also could not have been able to do it without the help of Mercy Bett and Hebron Getachew who were patient, provided feedback, and offered leadership.
