Kenyan Riddim™ Launching April 20th on Radio TV 254: The Home of Kenyan Music

After the successful launch of Radio 254’s Hustler Challenge that was launched on March 17th, 2025, Radio TV 254 is excited to announce the launch of its next challenge dubbed Kenyan Riddim™ that will begin on Sunday April 20th with the submission set as Thursday 1 May 2025.

Participants in the Kenyan Riddim™ challenge will have between 20th April 2025 when the instrumental is released until 1 May 2025 at 11:59pm EAT to submit their Kenyan Riddim™ to submit their Kenyan Riddim™ challenge via email as an mp3 file to radio254@icloud.com

Submissions sent after 1 May 2025 after 11:59pm EAT will not be accepted or considered for the challenge. In order to participate in the Kenyan Riddim™ Challenge contestants must be Kenyan, download the challenge instrumental from Radio TV 254’s YouTube Channel (https://www.youtube.com/@RadioTV254) and send recorded challenge as an mp3 file to Radio 254’s email address radio254@icloud.com

The purpose of the Kenyan Riddim™ Challenge is to help Radio 254 further its mission of showcasing and promoting Kenyan Music and Content to the world via the internet. Through this challenge series, Radio 254 seeks to give the Kenyan artists that participate the opportunity to download an original instrumental owned by Radio 254, an opportunity to be creative and create their own version of the song and chance to promote their song once it is posted on Radio 254’s platforms.

Participants of the Kenyan Riddim™ Challenge are not supposed to post or share their song on their own platforms but supposed to email their recording to Radio 254 who will then post all challenges received before the deadline on it YouTube Channel. The aim of this challenge is to have different artists compete and to discover new talent. Those who can successfully create a song and promote it will be rewarded with cash prizes.

The person with the most views on YouTube will receive 25,000 Ksh, the second most views will receive 15,000 Ksh and third place will receive 10,000 Ksh. Please note that Radio TV 254, will only look at YouTube views to determine the winner and comments or Posts on Instagram or TikTok will not be used to determine the winner. The winner of the Kenyan Riddim™ Challenge will be chosen strictly on the number of views their Kenyan Riddim™ Challenge version receives.

Winners for the first edition of Kenyan Riddim™ Challenge will be announced on Sunday May 4th, 2025, at 4:20pm EAT LIVE on www.254.radio The show and challenge will be proudly sponsored by Kenya Cane. If you are an artist looking to get your chance at being discovered, make sure to participate in the Kenyan Riddim™ Challenge between April 20th and 1 May 2025 and be sure to tune in on 4th May 2025 at 4:20pm EAT to hear the different challenges received and at 5:00pm EAT as we announce the winners and send them their earnings/winnings.

You have to be able to promote your music, it isn’t enough to be able to make a good song. You have to be able to promote that finished product and get people to listen to it.
